Ifa’s message for Orunmila

When he was in the midst of enemies

And he woke up in constant fear of uprising

He was advised to offer ebo

He complied

Before long, not too far

Join us in the midst of victory

In the midst of victory is where we reside

 Ifa says that a time will come in this person  life when  he will be having grudges against Ifa because some of the things that he is  asking from Ifa have not manifested. Ifa says that keeping grudges against Ifa will not help him to achieve your heart desire. Rather, you need to offer ebo that will accelerate the manifestation of his  heart desire. And he also need to offer ebo so that Ifa will forgive him over his reaction against Ifa. There is the need for him to offer ebo with two hens and money. After this, he will dig a hole of about 12 inch long, 6inch dip, and 4 inch wide. he will place his Ikin inside the hole that he have dug. You will feed Ifa inside the hole there with kolanut and one hen. He  will cover the hole with sand. On the seventh day, He  will go and remove the Ikin inside the hole and cast it again. he will then offer the ebo that Ifa recommends in the Odu that was revealed. Doing this will make Ifa to forgive completely and at the same time to ensure that his prayers are answered. On this, Ifa says:

Ika gbe mi n o joba Ila

Ika o gbe mi, n o joba Ila

Dia fun Orunmila

Tohun akapoo re jo nse egbe nu

Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Ifa ni e je ka bo ikin eni gbooro

Ko le ba gbe’ni gbooro

Translation

If wickedness supports me, I will become the Oba of Ila

If wickedness fails to support me, I will become the Oba of Ila

Ifa’s message for Orunmila

When he and his Akapo were keeping malice

He was advised to offer ebo

He complied

Ifa advises us to propitiate our Ikin in an elongated manner

So that it will give us an elongated support

 Ifa says that a time is coming in this person life when he  is  going to become the most influential among his  friends, family members and close community. That is the time that he need to continue to offer ebo so that his life will not be terminated prematurely. For this reason, Ifa advises him to offer ebo with one matured he-goat and money. This ebo is meant for him to continue to be the umbrella that will cover those who are close to you and give them sanctuary. Ifa says that if he  should die many people will suffer. That is why he must protect his life, if not because of himself but for the sake of those who are close to him . On this, Ifa says:

With support does one pluck okra

With support does one pluck garden eggs

With support does one fold dresses

When someone dies 

All is dresses were folded under him

And a dip grave was dug

Ifa’s message for Ofafa

The tree hyrax

Who enjoys the support of the shade of the big tree

The big tree had fallen

The secret of the tree hyrax had been exposed

Ifa says that it is a serious taboo to attend any funeral ceremony. It is also a taboo for  this person  to cry when anybody dies no matter how close the person maybe to him. Ifa says that if he  must cry it must be inside his  own house, he must not cry in the house of the departed because it will lead to serious misfortune for him. Ifa also says that if there is any form of anger he  must always listen to appeal as soon as he  is begged. If he refuse to accept the plea of those begging him it may lead to a situation where he  will be removed among the community of society. On this, Ifa says:

Translation

How much money we have determines the quantity of cornmeal we can

purchase

Our size determine how big Amala we can consume

The peanut pud resembles the coffin of Eliri rat

And Adigbonnaku resembles a tamarind fruit

Ifa’s message for Agbigboniworan

Who will lament the death of an in-law into the deepest part of the forest

He was advised to offer ebo

Agbigboniworan you have not done well

Agbigboniwonran you have behave improperly

Why did you lament the death of your in-law into the deepest part of the

forest

 Ifa assures  this  person that he shall perform wonders in his life. Ifa says that all the great things of life that he  achieve will never get spoiled when he  was  still alive. For this reason, Ifa advises him  to continue to offer ebo to prevent a situation where any event, thing or person will be the cause of  his achievement in life being spoiled for him. Ifa advises him to offer ebo with two pigeons, two roosters and money. On this, Ifa says:

Ikagbe, Ikagbe nlaa ka’la

Ikagbe, Ikagbe nlaa ka’kan

Oku lo ku, la daso oku b’oku labe

Won da’le lu gburugudu-gburugudu

Dia fun Elenpejiga, omo Atuloko

Omo walami, tii ba won gb’eti Oya

Ebo aseyori ni won ni ko waa se

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Ara ti Elenpejiga nda ko lee baje lailai

Bojumo ba mo

Agun regesege loju omi

Iwa a temi, kasai gun rekete lese Obarisa

Translation

With support does one pluck okra

With support does one pluck garden eggs

When someone dies

Ifa’s message for Elenpejiga, the expert boat rower

He who maneuvers with dexterity in Oya river

He was advised to offer the ebo of accomplishment

He complies

The wonders of Elenpejiga can never go into ruins 

Early in the morning he appears majestically in the river

My destiny shall be agreeable and achievable with the support of Ifa

Ifa assures him that he  shall succeed and become very prosperous in life. Ifa says that his  success will come from his  profession which looks like a wicked person’s profession or that of someone who loves to inflict pains or discomfort on other people. Ifa advises  him  to offer ebo with three pigeons, three hens, three guinea-fowls, three roosters and money. On this, Ifa says:

Obe’su, be’ka,be’gbado

Osika la t’eree danu

Dia fun Oloola

Ti yoo maa loo sa’mo olomo logbe gbowo

Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Ko pe, ko jinna

E waa ba ni ba’yo

E waa wo’re

Translation

He who peels yams, guinea-corns and maize

Only the wicked peels away the beans 

Ifa’s message for the human tattoo designer

Who would be inflicting wounds on people and gets payment for doing so

He was advised to offer ebo 

He complied

Before long, not too far

Join us in the midst of joy

Come and behold all ire of life

7.

 Ifa reiterates the fact that  his success will come from a seemingly wicked act or profession. He  will succeed beyond his  wildest dream if he  offer ebo the appropriate ebo in this stanza. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one matured he-goat, seven pebbles, two batons and money. You need to throw the seven pebbles either at a market place or where there is a crowd of people such as a stadium, rally or procession. On this, Ifa says:

Ika gbe mi, n o joba Ila

Ika o gbe mi, n o joba Ila

Dia fun Rooruwa

Ti nloo fikaa soba lalade Oyo

Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Nje Ika ni mo fi ya

Ika ni mo fi ra

Ika ni mo fi nire gbogbo bawonyi berere

Translation

If wickedness supports me, I will become the Oba of Ila

If wickedness fails to support me, I will become the Oba of Ila

Ifa’s message for Rooruwa

Who would display wickedness to the Oba in Oyo town

He was advised to offer ebo

He complied

My wickedness made me credit worthy 

My wickedness gave me means to purchase items

It is with wickedness that I am able to achieve all the things that I possess

 Ifa assures this person  that he will be blessed with many children. There is the need for him  to offer ebo and propitiate Ibeji, the Twin Deity in order for him to have the children. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one matured she- goat, two hens, one big basket and money. He  also need to propitiate Ibeji as appropriate. On this, Ifa says:

Pawu ike

Akanmole apere

Dia fun Ehoro

Ti nrenu igbe loo dakesi nitori omo

Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Ejigbede-mejimeji lehoro nbi

Translation

Pawu ike

Akanmole apere

They cast Ifa for Ehoro, the Hare

Who went into the forest to lay quietly because of children

She was advised to offer ebo

She complied

In twos do the hare give birth to children
