What is Odù Ifá Ìká- Òfún?

1. They must avoid  eating or drinking hot substances – to avoid bad luck, due to the influence of Obàtálá.

 2. They must avoid  eating or drinking anything that comes from the Guinea corn - to avoid sad events.

 3. They must avoid  eating or using brown rat (Eku Emó) – To avoid problems with the Ìyàmi (Old women of the night)

 1.

Ifá says that she anticipates Ire of achievement for this person, Ifá says that she anticipates the success over failures for whom this Odù is revealed, during the consultation or Ìtèlódù.  Ifá advise he /she should offer  with 1 Rooster, 1 Pigeon, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola  (Orógbó), Drinks and money. On this Ifá says:

 Ìká fúnfún sèsè

 Babalawo eyín lo d’ifa fún eyín

 Èyí tí ó n’fi ohun gbogbo s’ówó àmúbó

 Ebo ni wón ní kó waa se

 Ó gbé’bo, ó r’bo

 Ohun eyin mu

 Kó máa mubo, kó máa ma muti.

 Translation:

Ìká is amazingly white

The Awo of Eyín (Tooth) the divination made for Eyín

 When Eyín was doing all the things without success

 He was warned to perform Ebo

 He complied.

 In any case, Eyín (Teeth) began to obtain achievements.

 2.

Ifá says that he foresees successes for this person . Ifá says he must go to a tree and do him service (Offering), any tree of ìrókò, àràbà, or any type of large tree, so he/she  can achieve his wishes.  Ifá advises him to offer  Ebo with 2 Roosters, 2 Guinea Hens, 2 Pigeons, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola (Orógbó), Gin and lots of money.  On  this Ifá says:

 Efinrin igbó wón ò gbó ohun igbó

 Efirin òdàn wón ò gbó ohun òdàn

 Aáyán ilé wón ò gbó ohun olúweri nínú omi

 Adifá fún oní sànpàrá

 Omo abo’gi ri’re

 Ebo n’wón ní kó se o

 Ó gbé’bo, ó r’bo

 Kò pé kò jìnnà

 E wá bá ni bayò e wá wo’re o

 Translation:

 The jungle bush does not hear the voice of the jungle

The bush of the field grass does not hear the voice of the grass of the countryside

The house roaches do not hear the voice of the river goddess (Olúweri)

This was the divination made for Onísànpàrá

 He who fosters the giant tree without fail

 He was advise to perform Ebo and he complied

 Not too  long

 Come and see me in the midst of many good things.

Ifá says that there is  Ire of  children (Pregnancy) for this person . Ifá advised  this person to  offer Ebo with 1 Goat or 2 Chickens, 4 rats, 4 fish, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola (Orógbó), Gin and Money.  On this Ifá says:

 Ìkaa mi fun

 Ìkaa mi kunna

 Adifá fún Gbere lékò

 Ó féyìn tí mojú ekùn sùnráhùn t’omo

 Ebo n’wón ní kó se o

 Ó gbé’bo, ó r’bo

 Kò pé kò jìnnà

 E wá bá ni jèbútú omo

 Translation:

 Ikaa Mi Fun

 Ikaa Mi Kunna

 This was the divination made for Gbere lékò

 When she cried  for  not having children

She was warned to offer Ebo

 He Complied

 Not in a long time

 Come and join us in the midst of many children.

 4.

Ifá says that this person has chosen as part of his destiny to be a

 Leader.  Young and old will submit to his command.  Ifá advise him to propitiate Òòsà nlá, and to wear very often  white clothes.  Ifá warns to offer Ebo with 2 pigeons, 2 hens of Guinea, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola (Orógbó), gin and money.  On this Ifá says:

 Ka k’efun nílé

 Ka le sègi lojà

 Adifá fún Òòsà nlá

 Íyí tí n r’ayé àpésìn pitipiti

 Ebo n’wón ní kó se o

 Ó gbé’bo, ó r’bo

 Kò pé kò jìnnà

 E wá bá ni bayò e wá wo’re o

 Translation:

 Let's take Efun (traditional chalk) for the house

 Let's go and show the traditional accountants in the market

This was Ifa  Divination made for Òòsà nlá

 When it came from heaven to earth

 And he chose to be a leader constantly as part of his destiny

 surrounded by all things

 He was advised to offer Ebo and he complied

 Not long long , Not too far

 Come and join us in the midst of many blessings.

Ifá says that he anticipates Victoria over a very close woman, the which is similar to a mother or older than the person  to which this Odù has been revealed;  this person is standing  as an obstacle to achieving your personal success (Opposition).  Ifá warns of offering Ebo with 1 goat,  Kola nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola (Orógbó), gin and  money.  On this Ifá says:

 Gbongbolo gb’ókó

 Gbòngbòlò gb’ókò

 Òòsà ló fi inú ejò gbé okó

 Ló fi ti alágemo gbé poósí ide

 Adifá fún abiawe

 Tí se yèyé Òrúnmìlà

 Gbirari ní’fá ó f’òtá se

Translation:

 Gbongbolo gb’ókó

 Gbòngbòlò gb’ókò

 Òòsà ló fi inú ejò gbé okó

 Ló fi ti alágemo gbé poósí ide

 It was the ifá divination made for Abuwe

 Who was the Mother (Godmother) of Orúnmìlà

 Mercilessly ifá will stand in front of enemies.

 6.

Ifá says that there is a close relative or someone from the nucleus family, which has been seen by everyone as a bad person, they have even wanted his death, bad things or punishment.  Ifá describes this person as a person who speaks too much.  Ifá says that this is not a bad person. Ifá says that this person will have a long life but warns that  Ebo must be offered by this person with 2 Roosters, 2 Pigeons, 2 Guinea Hens, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà),  Bitter Kola (Orógbó), drink and money.  This is why Ifa says:

 Ká ri ni ká wí

 Àìwí ní ò sunwòn

 B’eni bá wí ni lawí ju

 Eni a d’àwòko

 A difa fún ìká

 Tí won ó máa wo tikútikú

 Ìká ò kú mo o

 Orí ìká funfun

 Translation:

 If we see, we can say

 Shooting with the mouth negligently is not correct

 If you talk to them nonstop

 We will be considered as Parrots

 This was the Ifá message for Ìká

 To whom people would have bad thoughts towards him

 He was warned to perform Ebo

 He did it

 Ìká will not die

 Ìká's head will turn gray



7.

Ifá foresees many blessings for the person to whom this Odù has been revealed.  Ifá says that you have chosen as part of your destiny to be a leader and have leadership responsibilities.Ifá advised that you should offer  of Ebo with many foods.  On this  Ifá says:

 Ìká funfun sèsè

 Adifá fún lékèélékèé

 Èyí tí n’seye olu òrun

 Lékèélékèé gbarada tán o

 They make it ku

 Tiwa le o ma gba yewo

 Translation:



Ìká funfun sèsè

 The Ifá divination made for lékèélékèé (The bird of feathers

 white like the gruya)

 He who is the king bird in heaven

 lékèélékèé has succeeded

 He has overcome all his enemies

 It is in the form of what we do that they always imitate.

 8.

Ifá advise that you should ooffer Ebo to  profit  economically.  Ifá warns of offering Ebo with 4 Doves 2 Guinea fowl, and money.  Ifá also warns of feeding (Propitiate) his Orí.  On this Ifá says:

 Ikaa ni n’fun

 Ikaa ni n’kuna

 Adifá fún Òrúnmìlà

 Baba n’sùnkún òhun ò lájé lówó

 Ebo n’wón ní kó wáá se

 Ó gbébo ó rube

 Ajé wáá je dérùbú awo

 Ìwìnìwìnì.

 Translation:

 Ikaa ni n’fun

 Ikaa ni n’kuna

 Divination made for Orúnmìlà

 Who cried and lamented for not getting Ire Ajé (Well-being

 financial)

 He was advised  to perform Ebo

 He did it

 Ajé now lives in the house of the Awo

Ìwìnìwìnì.

 9.

Ifá advised that Ebo must be performed for a child in  particular so that he/she  does not die prematurely.  You must  propitiate Egúngún abundantly to be able to evade  the disaster.  Ifá advised  to offer Ebo with  1 goat, Walnut Kola (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter  Kola (Orógbó), drink and money. It must be served to Egúngún with all the things that are  favorites, On  this Ifá says:

 Gbongbolo gb’ókó

 Gbòngbòlò gb’ókò

 Òòsà ló fi inú ejò gbé okó

 Ló fi ti alágemo gbé poósí ide

 Adifá fún Eni-tan-wi-loran-ti-o-fee

 Tí ó ma dún eégún lábé aso

 Gbogbo Ìsòwò Òpè

 Eni gb’ébo n’bè kó ru’bo

 Translation:

 Gbongbolo gb’ókó

 Gbòngbòlò gb’ókò

 Òòsà ló fi inú ejò gbé okó

 Ló fi ti alágemo gbé poósí ide

 Divination performed for who has been warned about part

 of disasters

 Who will respond within the masquerade

 All Ifa practitioners who reveal this must tell them

 to comply.

10.

Ifá says that to the person to whom this Odù has been revealed , you must be careful with what you eat or what drink, to avoid being poisoned.  Especially When you have to leave home for a meeting, You must be careful with what you consumed.  Ifá  advised  you to offer Ebo with 1 goat, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà), Bitter Kola (Orógbó), Gin and money.  On this Ifá says:

 Ká ri ni ká wí

 Àìwí ní ò sunwòn

 B’eni bá wí ni lawí ju

 Eni a d’áwòko

 A difa fún olórí akin

 Tí n’je aáyán

Gbogbo Ìsòwò Òpè

 Eni gb’ébo n’bè kó ru’bo

 Translation:

 If we see, we can say

 Negligently shooting with the mouth

 It's not too fair

 If you talk to them nonstop

 We will be considered as parrots

 This was divination made for a ruthless person,

 stubborn and tough head.

 Who will eat food with an unpleasant odor

 All Ifa practitioners to whom this is told should

 comply.

 11.

Ifá warns the person to whom this Odù is revealed, that  he must be persistent day to day in following the course of his destination.  Ifá says that the person should not go beyond what that it has been predestined.  Everything this person  need is to make constant sacrifice.  If this is done,  success will be assured, and longevity will be assured.  Ifá warns to offer Ebo with 2 Roosters, 2 Hens, 2 Pigeons, 2 Guinea Fowl, 4 Rats, 4 Fish, Kola Nut  (Obì Àbàtà),Bitter  Kola (Orógbó), drink and money.  On this, ifá says:

 Ajé bori ogbón

 Òtòsì so òpò òrò

 Abuni l’ole or mo’hun ti n’seni

 A kúnlè a y’eda

 Adélé ayé tán

 Ojú n’kan gbogbo wa

 Ádá o see pádà lo yan òmíràn

 Ayaafi ètùtù lo kan.

 Translation:

 Ajé (Money) replaces wisdom

 The damned only talk useless things

 The one who accuses one of being too lazy

 Don't know what's really going on

 Destiny had been chosen from heaven

 When we get to earth we always act in a hurry

 Forgetting what has been predestined for us

 It is impossible to go back to heaven and choose another new destination

The only way to move forward is through sacrifice.

 12.

Ifá foresees longevity ire for the person to whom this Odù has been revealed.  Ifá warns that this person  Must offer Ebo for a long life.  He will be  accomplished, long life and prosperity will be assured.  Ifá advise him to offer Ebo with red cloth, 1 Male Goat, Kola Nut (Obì Àbàtà),Bitter Kola   (Orógbó), Rats, Fish, Palm oil, Drink and  money.  On this, Ifá says:

 Orí ìká fun

 Orí ìká yò

13. Ifá foresees Ire de Victoria sure and expiration on a

 group of enemies to the person to whom this Odù has been

 revealed, Ifá says that it doesn't matter that they are conspiring

 against this person as this person will have the

 guaranteed maturity.  Make Ebo with a ram to Òrìsà

 Sàngó.  On this Ifá says:

 Ofiri kojá lónà, mo b’emó ni

 Adúfa fún Olúkòso làálú

 Bambí omo a ri’gba ota ségún

 N’gbà t’ n’bè làárin ota

 Ebo lawo ní ó see

 Ó gb’ebo ó rubo

 Kí lárìrà fi s’eté

 Igba ota or, lárìrà fi s’eté, igba ota.

 Translation:

 When looking at an object in the blink of an eye

 I thought it was a brown rat

 This was the ifá divination for Olúkòso làálú

 The son of who uses 200 stones to fight for victory

 When I was in the midst of enemies

 He was warned to offer Ebo

 He fulfilled

 What did Àrìrà (Sàngó) use to fight for victory?

 200 stones, this is what Àrìrà used to fight for victory.

14.

Ifá advise  the person to whom this Odù has been revealed, to  offer Ebo together with his/her partner if you want to get married.  Ifá  says they are compatible.  Ifá advised they  should offer Ebo with 1 Goat, plenty of firewood, plenty of palm oil.  After the sacrifice, the firewood must be burned, and the Palm oil should be gradually poured.  On this, Ifá says:

 Riru omi ni n’yaná

 Ìdí beere ò kò ìlèkè

 Buruku gold ko kun ni lorun

 Adifá fún iná

 Èyí tí yóó ma lo gbe’gi n’íyàwó

 Ebo l’awo ní ó se

 Ó gbebo ó rubo

 N’íjó ìpònrí iná ba gb’epo

 Iwaa won kasai ma r’oke

 Translation:



Boiling water is the result of burning fire

 Big buttocks don't reject bead decorations

 No matter how cruel and ambiguous it is spoken (abuse)

 A neck can never be kept (hidden)

 This was the Ifá divination for Iná (fire)

 He who wants to meet Igi (firewood) as his partner

 lifetime

 Behold, every time a burning fire comes in contact with the

 Palm oil

 The strength of the flame is strengthened.

 15.

Ifá advised  the person to whom this Odù has been revealed, to offer Ebo to have stability in his profession.  Ifá  says he/she  will  achieve all his  heart's desires through his profession.  But he/she  should not forget these things and follow Ifá's advice, so you can have the best results.  If this is done, the goals are  insured.  Ifá advise  of offering Ebo with 2 Doves, 2 Hens, 2 Guinea Hens, 4 Rats, 4 Fish and  money.  About this, Ifá says:

 Ìká fín-ìn-ín

 Awo emó lo difa fún emó

 Emó n’lo s’oko ìwájé

 Ebo l’awo ní kó see

 Ó fi etí òtún gb’ebo, ó fi t’ósì dàá nù

 Ó ní ohun o ba ti mò

 Ohun ba ti s’ebo Ìká fín-ìn-ín.

 Translation:

 Ìká fín-ìn-ín

 The priest of the Emó rat (Brown rat)

 He prophesied ifá for the Emó rat (brown rat)

 When the Emó rat was going out to his usual activities

 (job)

 He was advised to do ebo

 He refused to do it

 He said, if he had known

 He would have done the Ebo of Ìká fín-ìn-ín.



16.

Ifá warns the person for whom this Odù Ifá has been revealed, do Ebo for the whole family, to ensure that all the members have long life and do not die early.  Ifá warns that each member of the  family must do Ebo with 2 Chickens and Màrìwò (Leaves

 Palm tree) This (Màrìwò) will be used to sweep the dust from their respective homes, both the roof and the Soil will be included in this Ebo.  If this is done, the  longevity will be assured.  On this, Ifá says:

 Iná jó igi méjì

 O kù gbòngbò

 Adún fún wón l’óde itile

 N’íbi wón gbé n’fi irun dúdú s’ori kú

 Ebo n’wón ní kó wá se

 Wón gb’ébo, wón rubo

 Awa o tun r’ibi lóde ilè yi mo o

 Màrìwò òpè ma dún yeeyee

 L’ajogun ba péyìnda.



Translation:

 The fire burns the trees two by two

 Left only the roots

 Divination of ifá for the inhabitants of Itile

 Where they always died prematurely

 They were warned to offer Ebo

 They did it

 Màrìwò (Young Palm Leaves) sounds incessantly

 So the disaster is no longer in our lives.
