In this current work
Babalawo Obanifa will reveal and document one of the leading Ifa prayer available
in Reform Africa Ifa Spirituality (RAIS) that an individual can use to
seek divine Grace of Olodumare (God) on our life. As human we are prone to err
in our life style. But seeking the Grace of Olodumare we put us under divine forgiveness
of any of our Iniquities. What do I mean by grace within the context of this
work. By literarily by Grace I mean : unmerited
divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification, a virtue coming from God. A state of sanctification
enjoyed through divine assistance
What is Grace and what are some ways people have defined Grace?

is love that cares and stoops and rescues.”(John Stott)

is God reaching downward to people who are in rebellion against Him.”(Jerry Bridges)
“Grace
is unconditional love toward a person who does not deserve it.” (Paul Zahl)
Grace
is most needed and best understood in the midst of sin, suffering, and
brokenness. We live in a world of earning, deserving, and merit, and these
result in judgment. That is why everyone wants and needs grace. Judgment kills.
Only grace makes alive.
A
shorthand for what grace is - “mercy, not merit.” Grace is the opposite of
karma, which is all about getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you
don’t deserve, and not getting what you do deserve.
As
human being we all need Grace of Olodumare(God) on our life . The only through
which we can obtain divine Grace of God is to ask it through prayers. In this
work I will document some of the Ifa chants that an Ifa devotees can use to
seek the Grace of Olodumare. One of the leading prayers available in Africa Ifa
spirituality that can be use to seek divine Grace of Olodumare is derived from
Odu Ifa Irosun -Irete. The mere chants or recitation of it as part of our daily
prayers will achieve the desire result. The Awo can use it during Ebo when praying for their prospective clients.
It can also be use personally during one’s daily prayers.
