In this work Babalawo Obanifa will document one of chants/prayers available in Africa Ifa Spirituality(AIS) for protections from perils in time of War or Pandemic. Movement from one location to the other in time of Pandemic or war is full of risk and Perils. But we may have exceptional circumstances where we need to move from one location to the other. In such instances apart from taking physical precautions for safety. Prayer for safe travel is also essential to complement our physical efforts so that we can reach our destination and return home in joy, life and health. One of the leading Ifa chants available in Africa  Ifa Spirituality for this purpose is derive from Odu Ifa Oyeku Meji. Mere saying or chanting of it will achieve the desire result. The prayers goes thus:

Translation:

I have made enter into covenant with you Oyeku Meji

Don’t betray me

It is anger of the slave that kill the slave

It is aggressive nature of a pawn that kill the pawn

This was Ifa message for Ofua(Ofua is the fifth lobes of the kola nuts with five lobes)

When he was in the mist of enemies in this world

He was in the mist of Malevolence forces

He was advise to offer ebo

He complied

He offer ebo with Ofua Obi

When death is killing all my peers

Oyeku will me  separate  and spare my life
