In this current work, Babalawo
Obanifa will document meanings of wilderness/ desert in dream from the
perspective of Africa culture and
spirituality. The name for wilderness in Yoruba language is known as Aginju, The Hausa
known it as Jeji, In Igbo it
is known as Ozara . By wilderness within the context of this work
I am referring to :

definition of a wilderness is a rough, uninhabited or neglected region. A
wooded area with no civilized life on the borders of a town is an example of
the wilderness. In spiritual parlance,
Wilderness in dream can have either positive or negative meanings. The meanings
to be given to any wilderness dream will usually depend on the contents and
