This current work will documents one of the
simple herbal remedies available in Yoruba herbal medicine for the treatment of
toothache. The term use for the description of toothache in Yoruba herbal
medicine parlance is Akokokoro.Below is the documentation of one of the effective
herbal formula available in Yoruba herbal medicine for the treatment of toothaches.
Eepo Igi Oloora Pupa(bark
stem of rauwolfia vomitoria)
Eeru alaamo(split xylopia
aethopica)
Eepo kasu(bark stem of
cashew tree)
Ata Ijosi wewe(bird
pepper/Capsicum annum)
Aalomu die(alum)
Omi ori Ogi/Omidun(water
collected from the top of corn paste)
Preparation
You will put all the aforementioned
in pot and used Omi ori Ogi/Omidun(water collected from the top of corn paste)
to cooked it.
Usage
The person will be
holding the decoction in his mouth for five minutes. He will use it to wash his
mouth and throw it away. It will be used in this manner explain day and night.
