This work will simply explore Ifa
position on fasting. This work is in
response to your question Mr adewole from Ijebu Ode-asking whether Babalawo do
engage in fasting. The answer is capital no .Babalawo Or Ifa devotee does not engage
in fasting. In fact Ifa refer to any act of fasting as Hypocrisy to God. By fasting
withing the context of this work we are referring to act of abstaining from all or some kinds of food or drink,
especially as a religious observance. In Ifa spirituality fasting is deem unnecessary.
