In this current work
Babalawo Obanifa will document one of the spoken words manifestation spell available
in Yoruba spirituality. The nomenclature for any spiritual preparation for the following
purpose in Yoruba spirituality is known as Ase/afose. It can be use to pray and
it can also be used to curse.For the purpose of this current work we are documenting
Ase. For an Awo to prepare the Ase been document in this work. He will need the
following:
Ibo eta(Ibon of Civet
cat)
Aso Iroko(clothe that
they use to tie Iroko tree)
Oje idi iroko(sap
collected from Iroko tree)
Ose dudu die(local black
soap)
Ewe abamonda(resurrection
plant)
Oyin(honey)
Eyo atare meje(seven
seeds of alligator pepper)
Oko oka (teeth of cobra)
Iwo etu(horn od Duiker)
Preparation
You will pound and grind
the Ibo eta(Ibon of Civet cat),Oje idi iroko(sap collected from Iroko tree),Ose
dudu die(local black soap),Ewe abamonda(resurrection plant),Oyin(honey)Eyo
atare meje(seven seeds of alligator pepper. You will then pack it inside the Iwo
etu(horn od Duiker). Insert the Oko oka (teeth of cobra) on it. Use the Aso
Iroko(clothe that they use to tie Iroko tree) to wrap it.buried it at Orota
meta (t junction for seven days). You will remove it. Whenever you want to use
it. You will use the cobra teeth on the top of the soap to tich your tongue
.You will then say:
Kan-kan lewe ina joni
Wara-wara ni omode n ti
oko Esinsin n bo
Igbe ki gbon enniyan ko
fi di ola
Ojo ti omode ba lo si oko
in ani bolumi
Translation
It is with immediate effect
that one feel the sting of Ina leaves
It is with quick rush
that children run out of Esinsin farm
One will not feel the
sensation to pass feces today and wait
till tomorrow
It is on day that a child
enter the Ina leaves farm that he will crave to bath in pool of water.
You will say what you
want to say on it.
